the call to get a psp is stronger than ever. there still aren't many games that i find overwhelmingly interesting, except maybe for patapon but that was over way too quick. however, if there's one reason and one reason alone to get a psp, it would have to be motherfucking disgaea. i heard some of the battle bgm coming from a bunkmate's psp and i recognised it immediately. how could i not, after spending over 9000 hours during various afternoons, evenings, nights and early mornings listening to the same thing. over and over. grinding through item worlds. reincarnating people over and over. shifting stat guys here and there and getting confused about who was who and what was what. agonizing over floortile puzzles. human totem poles. and to have all that be... PORTABLE. oh man.
and there's an option to have japanese voicework for the battles too! no more SHAZAM! or LORD, GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!! i'll miss the prinny doooood though.

and i'm sitting on a year+ of accumulated army pay in my bank account. and my DS is likely to return to a dormant state now that twewy is cleared. secret reports, black planets, all the gatito items. only thing left is to get 100/100 for all chars and maybe complete the threads list. WoW holds little attraction after the monthlong overload, and the fact that everyone else is purple to the gills and i'm so blue. the third xpack is also looming on the horizon.

about that damn expansion. i'm sure it's going to be ruined for me too. TBC came out a month or so after i started bmt. excellent timing. i started wowing again in february, after everyone hit 70 and was breaking into kara. i can now foresee that WotLK will come out a month or so before i ORD, leaving me in the exact same position i found myself in a year ago. thanks, army. my only hope lies in blizzard's history of delaying stuff. please blizzard, heed my call. release WotLK for christmas.

NO WAIT. don't do that. i'll probably go on holiday with the family and come back to find waileong has already created his character and is lvl 18. ah, 2004.
no wait. waileong deleted his character, the weirdo.

where was i. disgaea, right. buy psp. either that or buy a tv small enough to bring to camp and bring in my ps2 as well.

also watched kara no kyoukai. i'd like to love it, but i'm not going crazy or anything about it. obligatory tsukihime comparison: animation and character design superior by far, music pales in comparison, atmosphere nowhere near as intense.

points to ufotable for the claymation extra. gotta stick your trademark in somewhere. points for using tsukihime-shiki's voice for the lookalike. super bonus points for maaya sakamoto. gotta start reading the chinese version i bought. lol, that's hilarious. it's hilariously pathetic that the english translation online right now is that horrible.

bigger font, no more white thing, background for the text body. i suck at html, i just realised about 80% of this page's code is absolutely redundant because there's a much easier way to organise the layout, withouut stupid tables inside of tables and screwy CSS header settings.

booking in tonight for guard duty tomorrow. then thursday morning out for another day of block leave again. back in on thursday night, friday COS, sat morning out. this is so screwy.

kara no kyoukai dvd is out, apparently. the rip will come out while i'm in camp, hopefully(?). screens look amazing, but i hope the animation is good as well.

so i downloaded bioshock and halflife 2, now that i have a com that can handle them. i'm horrible at both FPSs and suspenseful games, so i guess this was kinda a bad decision. fucking poison headcrabs. fucking splicers.

bought azumanga omnibus. it's awesome.

watched speed racer. there were a lot of pretty colours. seriously, i loved the pretty colours. in a basic and very trashy way, it was highly artistic. mind-numbing visual overload. rain's script was mostly 'WHOOO!' and looking retarded.

so i went for my followup for my knee. basically, i waited for an hour, went in to see some noob undergrad who did the whole checkup. then the real doctor came in and the conversation moved along the lines of
noob: "hey, he's okay now. he can walk and everything."
doc: "oh that's great. what are you doing now, boy?"
me: "(okay i'm 20 kthx) i'm in NS."
doc: "right, right, i'll give you another month's MC and you should be fine."
me: "!"

hahaha.... HAHAHAHAHA
lol, i'm just gonna ignore that MC.
i finally, FINALLY got a call from camp today. it was from one of the new specs that came in. oh my god, i missed a shitload. my 2ic is now my OC, my generation of specs (apparently we're called the '2G' bunch) haven't moved over to our new company yet, whew. the batch before me, 1g, are in total ord-mode.

well, i got to enjoy a month of civilian life. i'm pretty much stuck in the abyssal pulse of anime and manga. by booking in this sunday, i'm going to miss
- another school rumble RESET
- big tsubasa chapter where a huge link with CCS is apparently going to be revealed
- code geass subs which always come out past sunday midnight
at least i got to watch final ep of zetsubou sensei.

getting depressed. when i go back all the new specs will be like, 'who the fuck is that' and i'll be like: no i don't talk remember and then i will hide in my bunk and play my ds. and fail my ippt in a few weeks. thank goodness i passed 2nd year soc already.
